About Carcassonne

Close by is Place Carnot where you will find a number of restaurants, cafes and bars.  Saturday morning is a ‘big’ market day in Carcassonne and the Place hosts a busy colourful Flower, Fruit and Vegetable market.  The covered market located on the corner of Rue du Dr Albert Tomey and Rue Aime Ramond sells a selection of mouth-watering fresh regional produce; butchers, charcuterie, fish-mongers, fowl and smoked meats, while the Flea and Clothing market can be found along the Boulevard Barbès.  Smaller markets occur during the week.
